I did not stay in the hotel so I cannot talk about the rooms or hotel part of Waldcafé. However, the restaurant is brilliant. There is a really nice outside eating area which is very pleasant when the sun is out. The food is very great, the service very quick and the people were very nice. If you're on your way to Merkurberg or even on your way down, make sure to make a stop !

The hotel is located in very calm and green area which makes perfect point to start trekking and walking. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had desserts (kuchen) along with the after we arrive late afternoon and they have served us with great hospitality. We had dinner at the restaurant and the meals were just perfect.
The food (cake) was very delicious. However, the service was really bad even though there weren’t many guests in. Additionally I found a piece of onion in my coffee which is just not acceptable.
Very nice and green location, a bit up hill and takes about 15-20 min to walk down town, if you don't like walking down/up hill, then it's not for you... Other than that, very cosy small with 10 rooms hotel, fantastic staff, who introduced us to the best of their local cuisine and near by vineyards.
Amazing food average prices great value for money
This is an outstanding hotel and restaurant. Only 12 rooms but my room was enormous. Food is well priced and delicious. Up the hill from Baden Baden city. 15 minute bus ride 204/205 from the centre of town. Room well priced. Situated in the woods. Quiet and dark at night. If you are staying in the area this is a must stay hotel.

Perfect romantic hotel, excellent breakfast. The restaurant is great, we will be back next year
