I rarely leave reviews but on this occasion I feel compelled to do so, in order for other customers to make an informed choice of whether to use this store or not. On Thursday evening I came to collect a JL parcel, which I frequently do. However, on presentation of my driving licence I was informed that this wasn’t good enough and that I needed to show my bank card (even though the policy states otherwise) I did this. However, I requested that the staff member explain why I needed show two forms of ID, when one has always been good enough! which they were unable to qualify or answer. I then asked for their name, which they refused, going to great lengths to cover their name badge. My observation from this staff member’s behaviour was purely down to myself wearing construction clothing, as I’d popped in after work. I even asked for assistance and the staff member on the basket checkout completed ignored me. This is not the first time I have experienced this prejudice, draconian and outdated attitude from this store, which is completely unacceptable and doesn’t belong in society today. I felt extremely upset afterwards and because of this I will now refuse to use this store until there is a complete cultural and managerial shift in behaviour and customer experience. If you have children, or of a working class background then this store is best avoided as they don’t really want you.

Excellent choice. Staff always helpful. With their Essential range prices match other supermarkets but the quality is first class!

Very good. Covid restrictions and trolley cleaning evident which is good.

Very busy. Quite expensive. Cafe is nice.
