Took my first trip here yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of stock they have at a reasonable price! Also, wonderful customer service from the young gentleman who served me yesterday and I will definitely be back to buy more goodies :)

Possibly the largest Oriental supermarket in Bristol. The prices were very reasonable, and the staff have been very helpful, even giving cooking advice. The boss has also been nice. The staff speak at least both Cantonese and English, as far as I know. If you are a student, don’t forget your ID if you’re buying over 10 worth of goods - wouldn’t want to miss out on the 10% discount.

If you're shopping online, please double check your order weight, especially if you're ordering rice! Anything over 10kg is overweight and incurs a hefty overweight charge. They charged 5 pounds to cancel an order. Ridiculous!

Wah Yan Hong is the ideal supermarket for shopping Asian stuff. It’s walking distance from city centre and the location is quite nice. The place is usually not crowded with people so you can shop to your heat’s contend. Having 15% off for any purchase 10 or above is definitely a lifesaver for students. The staff members there are really friendly and they can speak fluent Cantonese, putonghua and English. They are more than willing to offer you any help regarding Asian food or culture. For instance, I asked them how can I make tofu and they provided me with a homemade recipe. You can find a wide range of products here, and you will definitely not go home empty-handed. (Even if you don’t have anything in mind to buy initially) I think this is so far the cheapest store to buy Asian goods. The shop itself is very spacious and tidy so you can find the desired items easily. I have been there twice and I’ll go there again. Trust me, this is the only shop you want to go for Asian goods, the others are way too overpriced.
