Really enjoyed our meal here today, even though someone at the next table was aggressively rude to a woman on the waiting staff, who were working very hard in a very busy restaurant. The only thing I don’t understand is why, if the government rules say a maximum of 6 people can meet for a meal in a pub, there were 7 at an adjacent table. Would you like to comment on that, Marston’s?

This is a fantastic place to eat with a huge menu to choose from my family and I regularly go there! Brilliant customer service and staff are always lovely. Pic of one of my favourite options there!
Really disappointed today, usually love this place. Ordered from the lunchtime menu of 2 courses for 9.50. The pub was virtually empty & despite walking passed us several times when it was quite obvious we had finished the mains & drinks nobody came back to us. The waitress when putting the meals down couldn't leave the table quick enough & said 'enjoy' whilst already walking away. Well no I didn't enjoy. We paid & left without having our 2nd course or another drink.
We normally go to this pub regularly but this time waited 15 minutes and still nobody came to see what we wanted to drink or eat. We could have gone up and asked if someone was going to come and take our order but decided to leave and go some where else which we did
Been here quite a few times and the meals have never been disappointing. Great place to come for a drink, especially during the summer with its large beer garden and play area for children. We did ask for a dessert on this occasion, but the waitress never came back to us and we ended up going to the bar to pay for our meal which was bizarre. Would have easily given it a 4 or 5 if it wasn't for this one incident that let it down, shame.
