we had big groups eating at its restaurant. The resto is huge, well decorated, the service is fast and the food is good. Located right in the heart of The fishing Village of Volendam.

Excellent location, friendly staaf, mediocre rooms. Stayed 2 Nights. Excellent location, heart of Volendam,overlooking the lake and in the midst of the touristic heart. Staff welcoming and friendly and an historical hotel We did not consume food here, so cannot judge. We stayed in a basic family room which is old and looks like it isn't maintained well. View terrible facing the front building. Both watercookers broken (fixed one half myself). Poor space in bathroom for families. Oh, well we just slept there and enjoyed our stay.
Love that quirky hotels like this still exist. Eclectic mix of wonderful paintings everywhere, family ownership and an attempt at being modern. The dinner is great, lunches less so. The rooms are good, with one wing having newly refurbished rooms. Worth it for a quiet evening in Volendam after the busloads of tourists have finally departed.
The food was tasty and the prices are average. But the staff was very confused and we had 3 servers so they mixed up our order. First we got only one glass of juice instead of two. And in the end they gave us a bill on which was our and the next to us table’s order. And they didn’t even apologize.
Public toilets are hard to find in Netherlands seaside towns. When my younger son and I were there in August 2014, the tour guide suggested we use the toilet of the hotel. We did use it and deposited a coin or two on a tipping plate to show our moral responsibility!
Looks like a gallery art, fantastic for art and culture lovers. Very charmfull hotel with a incredible view to Markenmer. The swimming area with saunas is nice as well. Close to volendam Marken ferry, handcraft, cheese, cafes, bars and other shops.
Quirky, quaint. Very clean but fairly basic room. Good location for sightseeing.
