I really wanted this restaurant to be good. The service was really good, waitress was nice to us. However the food was just mediocre, I ordered goulash and it just wasn’t authentic. It was missing flavor and the meat was very chewy. On the flip side, the cabbage on the side of main entree was delicious. Overall I was kind of disappointed by the food, but welcoming staff is what, I think, makes this place popular

Food: 2/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Overall: A bit bland and I walked away hungry The extended review... Food: Goulash: 2/5 - The sauce was ok and the meat was ok. The morsels of meat were small and it came in a small soup bowl. The dumplings were very bland. Garlic Lamb: 2/5 - Again a bland dish between the lamb and the dumplings. I thing I was imagining a shank of lamb and I got one riblet. Service: 4/5 - Very friendly service which was the plus. Ambiance: 3/5 - Outdoors were nice but it looks like the chairs have seen better days.

Pro’s: Waitress was super nice Patio dog was fun to play fetch with Con’s: Everything else Food was tasteless Raw pastry We received food to go. We ordered the apple strudel and the goulash with dumplings, we also received bread (see video). Bread was covered in plastic wrap and microwaved, also had no taste and was terrible. Everything was tasteless nothing tasted as it should. There was no seasoning there was no salt nothing had taste at all not even the bread. The waitress talked up the food to where it sounded delicious but when we ordered it and ate it we were extremely disappointed and couldn’t eat it after a couple bites. We threw the entire meal away (minus the few first bites we took). We haven’t had food that bad in a really long time.

The portion sizes are just right and the bread is a welcome change from the normal.

This place is certainly one of the most pleasant place to eat in the area. Anytime I go there I am awfully satisfied. They maintain their very high level service and the topmost level of dishes they offer. You can never go wrong with this restaurant. Highly recommended.

My food (fish and chips) was delicious. My wife's food (goulash and dumplings) was not great. We loved that their dog was free to roam around but that is awful practice at a place for eating. Staff was polite.

Good things first: their oysters are very good as well as Czech beer. Everything else was tasteless. Really, I don’t know what should be done to the meat that it would loose all the taste. We tried goulash and it was like paper with some water. No spices, no nothing... Garlic lamb had no garlic and didn’t taste like lamb. Disappointing. They should travel to Czech Republic and try the real Czech food which is very good and tasty there. Or hire a Czech chef. Or at least buy a Czech cookbook. We lived in Czech Republic for a long time so we know the real taste of all Czech dishes. It’s nowhere near... Bottom line: stop by for oysters and beer and skip everything else.

We stopped for a late lunch. They were out of many items and the items they had were pretty near tasteless. Very expensive for a poor meal. The bread was the best part otherwise not worth the bother.
