The trip is very beautiful, with some incredible images. The only downside I could say are the piles of wood cut and seen in the first 5 km, but it is a common situation in Romania.

The entire 'Mocanița' experience was nice and well organised. The train left the station exactly at the right time, personnel spoke English, premises were clean and overall trip was great. I recommend this to every tourist who wants to see Romanian wilderness from a comfort of a train :)

A perfect way to spend one whole day! The station looks amazing. The people are great. The steam train ia beautiful and the ride ia pleasent. Also the all inclusive ticket is surprising. The food is great, the show in the middle of the ride ia very nice. Everyone should go on line and buy tickets :)

Very nice, kids will love it. Make sure you book online to avoid being left out and be there 20 minutes before departure. The tour takes about 6 hours (2 to go, 1.5 brake and 2 return). No gsm signal during the joirney. You can bring your own lunch / picnic or you can buy barbecue style food at the stop. Very nice and clean area and facilities (despite the big hoards of tourists)

Mocanita is a great once-in-a-lifetime experience especially for the kids. The ride is very long, pretty tiring and at times quite bummpy and if situated in the first passenger car the smoky steam quite heavy. The price is a bit steep, I just wished the views were more spectacular to make up for it. The first train leaves at 9 am sharp. Must be there half an hour earlier if not more if the tickets are to be purchased there and not online. If the day gets extremely busy, they do add a second steam train to leave at 9:30 and even a third one to leave at 10 am. The 9:30 am train returns back between 2:45 and 3:15. In Paltin when the train stops you can buy lunch and cold drinks, a great time for a picnic.

A fun ride with, as they say, one of the last steam powered locomotive operated train on a narrow gouge railway in the world. It's not high class comfort, it is shaky and noisy but... what a view! You will experience breathtaking landscapes along the river Vaser's valley, locomotive water feeding (with a break for coffee and donuts) and at the end of the track (middle of the journey) where is a two hours stop, you can have food (hot grills), some drinks and listen to traditional Romanian music. Highly recommend it!

Dream ride into the heart of mountains.. Landscape is marvelous! Something you can't forget and for sure you will have an epic adventure. At the last station where everyone takes a break for 1.5h, you can serve dinner in nature or explore a 45 minutes path climbing through the wild forests. Remember that sometimes can be difficult to climb due to bad weather. Have a fantastic ride! :)

An awesome experience, if you have opportunity, do not miss the trip. The train is very nice and original. The national park is impressive. You are also able to move around the train, open the windows, etc... Last thing, it is also very cheap
