A must-do activity in Berlin is to take a stroll or a bike ride along the wall and enjoy the numerous graffitis nd artworks created in defiance of war and conflict, and celebrating peace and unity. I love this place.

ABHAY PRAKASH

The Visitor Center across from the Nordbahnhof S-Bahn station is the starting point for registered groups and visitors to the memorial. Here you can find out what there is to see and do at the memorial and gain an overview of the entire memorial grounds. Information about other Wall sites in Berlin is also available here. An introductory film on the history of the Wall is shown on the upper level of the Visitor Center. Many different special events also take place in the upstairs rooms. Please refer to our current program to see what events are currently taking place.

Visiting the Berlin Wall which divided the East from the West was a surreal experience. I've always been interested in WWII history so having the opportunity to see the Berlin Wall was a once in a lifetime history lesson for me. I liked being able to hear the oral history exhibit and seeing pictures of people who died trying to leave East Berlin. The other great thing about this tourist attraction is that it is Free and open to the public. Was a bit sad after leaving but glad I got to see a bit of history.
