Vinyl Exchange has been very much part of my life since it opened decades ago. In those days I worked in Manchester and would pop in every day in my way to Piccadilly railway station. Very soon I became friends with most of the staff, who were - and still are - genuinely interested in music (and then film) and I would often seek their advice about impulse buys. They were usually correct in their evaluation of artists I hadn’t heard about before and were happy to let me preview a disc. My record and CD collection boasts a lot of stuff I wouldn’t have normally listened to if it wasn’t for their enthusiasm. Vinyl Exchange has broadened by musical horizons - and I reckon has done the same for a lot of their customers.

Fantastic selection of stock across most genres. Head downstairs for crate digging and clearly labelled sections of desirable vinyl. Friendly helpful staff (you can search online ahead of your visit and take a list, staff will help get your purchases together).
I've been selling & buying at Vinyl Exchange for over 35 years! Always had good experiences, staff are very helpful and polite. Great shop, could spend a weeks holiday browsing in there! Would highly recommend it.
Big collection of secondhand vinyl and some great new releases. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff!
Great vinyl at this vinyl shop especially for me with classic disco and house you can probably only fond sometimes in UK. Brought back great memories.
