Use to be a really good barbershop but I'm afraid they have lost all their good barbers in the last year and bit which is a real shame. The 3 lads who work there now, Dale, James and another young one are shockingly poor, zero quality or pride in their work. They rush everything and have limited knowledge and experience. Ive had botched haircuts the last two times i have visited vintage and im afraid i won't be coming back. They have even put their prices up not so long ago, which I wouldn't mind, If I was getting my haircut by the lads who previously worked here, yet they have dropped the quality of trims within this once brilliant establishment, that I find it almost insulting. The three lads they had working for them before, were excellent and are great miss. Hopefully i track one of them down asap, as you can tell from my rant, which is totally out of character for me, im upset with the mockery of haircut I have recieved.

Best barbers in town, staff are friendly, the shop is quirky and you are guaranteed to be looking fresh after their handy work! Whether you've made an appointment, which I highly recommend as they are constantly busy and rightly so, or you're a walk-in (in which case they'll do their up most to get to you as soon as possible), you'll be greeted as a regular and while having your cut made to feel comfortable and special! They my highest recommendations!!
Stopped of while waiting on a train, I actually went just because of the reviews and wasn’t disappointed. They squeezed me in and didn’t compromise on the cut
James is great Barber. I've been twice now, I'll not risk my Barnet now with the Botchergate spots.
This place has got to be the best barbers in Carlisle. Great staff and reasonable prices, a must place to visit if you need your barnet chopped.
