Impressed and moved. A place all should visit, learn from the past so we will not make the same mistake. A place to remember all those young men who died for peace.

Had a few hours to kill on the way back up to Calais for a Friday evening tunnel. Found this place on Google and expected to stop take a picture and leave. Ended up spending over 2 hours. Two amazing informative and thought-provoking hours. Mostly we walked around the grounds and trenches. Taking in the memorial. We also dropped into the centre which is fairly small but has loads of information. All the staff were so friendly, from the guy on the car park to the ladies inside, who were happy to offer information and a smiling face (I assume as we all had masks on). Within 24 hours I have decided to listen to an in-depth audible course on WW1 to learn a bit more and I came away just really wanting to visit Canada to see more friendly people! What an amazing place to visit. The staff do their country proud.

Great, free tour and experience! If you can make it up here, 100% would recommend. We ended up renting a car from Arras to get here, but a taxi might also work too, as it's only 20 min from the city

I have now been to both Canadian memorials in the area, Vimy Ridge and the Newfoundland memorial and on both occasions have found the experience overall to be very impressive. The staff are Canadian, greeting you at the gate and ensuring that everyone question is answered. They are on hand throughout the visit also to offer assistance. And all of this is totally complimentary. The grounds are immaculately preserved and the museum has just the right amount of detail to allow you to become fully informed and undertake a site tour in under two hours. Guided tours are also available, also totally free. Such a thought provoking place. I'm still amazed by the bravery demonstrated in the face of adversity here. So saddened for the sacrifices of so many too.

Great recreation of the trenches. Informative museum. Would recommend highly to anyone who wishes to remember / learn about WW1.

I was really looking forward to vising Vimy Ridge on my European history trip. It was an amazing sight and really lived up to expectations. As a Canadian it was really nice to see this monument especially since my great grandfather was shot and wounded here but survived. Walking around the different areas and through the tunnels was really incredible. I would recommend anyone who has the opportunity should visit here.

Shocking and amazing at the same time. Possibly one of the most poignant locations to visit whilst understanding the impact of WW1. The effort of the Canadian government to support this site is incredible and to be applauded. Excellent information and detailed museum to give a full insight into the site. I spent several hours here, so should you - one of the most educational places I have visited.

Had a chance to go to Vimy Ridge Memorial while stopping in Brugge on a cruise. This was a must see for us. Very powerful and emotional.
