This hotel is a few blocks from the center of town (walking distance) and has a poolside restaurant that is really fun. Rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff are awesome and very helpful. Much less expensive than the other hotels closer to downtown. Right on the main street, on bus route to most anywhere! I will attach a few pics I took of the view from my room.
The staff in the lounge are so friendly and the drinks were very reasonable.
We arrived at the City Center Hotel today for one night while house hunting in Nanaimo, and wanted to check out Victoria while we were here. We are from Newfoundland and relocating to Vancouver Island, so we wanted to enjoy the 20 degree March weather as much as possible considering we have never experienced Canadian weather so wonderful at this time of year! When we first arrived we were a little put off, as it is an older hotel and the lobby was a bit run down looking as well as the hallway leading to our room. We decided to upgrade to a suite for 25 more, and it was well worth our while. The room is absolutely spotless and completely renovated, and the patio is huge with a table, umbrella and multiple chairs. We ordered room service - the food was SO fresh tasting, absolutely delicious and outstanding value for the money. The girls on the front desk were extremely helpful, googling and calling restaurants with patios for us (once we got to our room and saw the patio we decided to just stay put and enjoy). And as for the icing on the cake, the suite they happened to put us in had a Newfoundland flag in one of the plants outdoors on our terrace! I highly recommend this place, and it’s also pet friendly!

It's very economical place to have travel in Victoria. Walking distance from Downtown area, reasonable price and little bit old but clean room!
