I would never use these again but Vets Now are used by many vets as emergency service. Was told on phone charge would be 220 odd pound plus medicine to make our dog sick as he had eaten a handful of Chocolate raisins (asked if we had insurance and who with, why is this relevant?) when the nurse came out she said the vet advised to keep him in for 48 hours. I reluctantly let him go with her. Sat in car and told vet would ring us, she rang and said it would be 1,000, was shocked, she said I have to pay 316 now and the insurance would pay the rest, I asked if the insurers will definitely pay and she said yes. Our dog was distressed and she rang for us to pick him up after 22 hours in their care. Basically the insurance haven’t paid it all and we owe 178. When I rang the vet to ask about it she said she didn’t know what insurance we had and what terms and conditions were, then she shouldn’t have said yes they would pay! Also bill is still nearly 1,000 despite only being in half the time they estimated, I asked why and was told he pulled out his drip and had a new on, checked on bill and this is only 49. She said we had received gold star service, I was not explained this at the time, nor given any alternative, I didn’t want to keep him in but “advised” to so makes you feel you’re bad not to. Would have to be absolutely desperate to ever use these robbers again. They are not regulated and can charge what they want, feel ripped off and will be warning other people. Went to Vets Now Warrington.
