Idyllic garden

Next morning after we spent a time at Disneyland Paris , we were about to go Versailles by RER . However there was no train service due to the strike . We were stuck at train stain near Disneyland till 15:30. We finally got on train . After we arrive at Novotel Chateau de Versailles where we stayed ,I was looking for the iPod touch that my daughter was using on the train . Our hotel room phone rung and I was asked to come down to the reception to correct the iPod touch . I thought she left on the sofa at reception . We went back to the reception. There was a French lady . A reception staff told me the lady had found the iPod touch at railway station , Gare de Versailles–Rive Droite and brought here . Because the iPod touch showed google map’s destination was to this hotel, she could try to come here . It is 2 km from the station to the hotel . She came to bring us the iPod touch . She is super fantastic lady . I really regretted that I did not offer any drink at the hotel bar . I am really embarrassed that I did not returned her anything and did not asked even her name . I wish I could send some gift to her . I aporiceate her kindness . I prey for her happiness ,good luck and peace.

If you're visiting from Paris, most tour guides will tell you to get the RER C to Versailles Chateau Rive Gauche. Don't listen to them. While this station is a bit further away from the Chateau, it serves La Défense from which you can get the Metro Ligne 1 to pretty much most of the tourist destinations in Paris. Trains on the line have also been upgraded to modern, brightly lit, air conditioned trains and services generally run much later into the night than the RER C. Bear in mind that this is more of a commuter station, so there's far less in the way of tour guides etc. loitering around.

If you want to come back to Paris after visiting the Chateau, services from this station can either leave you at La Defense or Saint Lazare
