To be honest, a bit disappointed. Took ages to get served, in fact, had to get my own menus. Given the vegetarian and vegan options was expecting something more. However, basically a nice cafe that does some veggie options. My bagel and chips was basically a child’s portion.

Brilliant restaurant, really good selection of food and drink and well caters to (without simply being limited to) vegetarians and vegans, I enjoyed my bubble and squeak greatly Fantastic and frieny staff and an Absolutely brilliant outside area as well as a beautiful presented and decorated interior
Came to Verreys for a delicious lunch. Catered perfectly for vegans and omnis and all the staff were so welcoming. Also were very accommodating towards us and our baby. Would highly recommend and would definitely visit again. Thank you!
Verreys in Broadstairs was terribly rude, inadequate and not family-friendly. We came with a child napping in the buggy wanting to have our lunch in a nice and quiet place and ordered two simple burgers. We liked that the cafe was not busy and there was no loud music so we found a quiet table in the garden with a space for the buggy. Ten minutes later the waitress came back and said that, unfortunately, they ran out of burgers. She said she was new and did not know what other food they actually had on the menu on that day. When I tried to politely inquire about other food options at the till, the woman who said she was the owner suddenly turned to me and asked me and my husband to leave talking in a very rude and abrupt manner. I could not believe my ears as I did not understand what could possibly go wrong with my basic customer enquiry. When I asked why she wanted us to leave, she started nearly screaming and immediately blamed me for being rude -- which was absurd since I only asked one simple and polite question about what other options they had for lunch on that day. She gave me no other explanation and just shouted: 'In MY place a customer is NOT always right!' I still have no idea what could cause such overreaction and I don't understand why the owner of a restaurant had to tell off two quiet hungry people with a small child for only wanting to eat something for lunch. Her behaviour was absolutely shocking. We have never encountered anything as Kafkaesque as this. The only compelling explanation I have is that she simply did not like two foreign-looking names on the COVID register. Well, xenophobes are among us... Never again.
Very aggressive staff member who asked us to leave because she wanted the table. She also made rude remarks to other people seated nearby who hadn’t finished their meals. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.
