Went today during lunch time around 11:30am, food was delicious and hot, came out in a timely manner and the service was great. The only thing I noticed is that the seating is not covid distance. We were sat in the back and it was full and they kept seating people in the back.

Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram at SNDTRAVELS. Still not back on the road but we found a nice place in Cedar Hill. Veracruz Cafe is not the usual Tex-Mex but touts Aztec, Mayan, American and Huastec influence. Look at the menu and enchiladas and tacos and some familiar items are there but just done a bit different. Diane tried the El Borracho del Pueblo, flat steak with blue corn cheese enchilada, gordita, red sauce, rice and black beans. The steak was pounded very thin but was tender and had a nice flavor from the marinade. The blue corn enchilada and everything else on the plate was fresh and tasty. I had the Queso Fundido. Brought out on a sizzling fajita griddle it was stuffed full of tender chicken and perfectly cooked mushrooms and served with homemade flour tortillas. From start to finish it stayed hot so that the cheese was just melted enough to keep it fresh every bite. If you want something a little different from the ordinary Tex-Mex give this place a try. Two thumbs up .

My kids said this is the best restaurant the Dallas area. Parents agree the food is great!! We had fish tacos and enchiladas. The salsa is so fresh full of flavor. We will definitely come back.

My wife likes it, but it's not a favorite of mine; it's pricy. Wife is vegetarian so she gets the black bean & cheese nachos. While eating during a weekday lunch outing, they charged 11.95 as shown. I ordered the lunchtime blue corn chicken enchiladas (2) with beans & rice for 10.95 (a much, much better deal). Why do vegetarian dishes always seem to cost more than any equivalent menu item with the meat? It should cost LESS.
