Osteria Bancogiro

Great location, long service, most food was nice, but I was unlucky to order pesto pasta and I wouldn't feed it to an enemy. Didn't think it can be ruined. Especially comical after we asked the waiter for spaghetti alle vongole and he snobbishly said \they only make special food

Just had dinner here and it was wonderful. Great food and drink. Excellent view. Very helpful staff. Good value for the location on the Grand Canal. Very impressed with the experience.

During my quest to find the best risotto Venice had to offer, we stumbled upon Osteria Bancogiro. Located along Grand Canal, at the foot of the Rialto Bridge, Osteria Bancogiro came highly recommended. Offering food of the highest quality and presentation, with views of Grand Canal to match, we made ourselves comfortable and enjoyed a meal whilst watching the sunset. Note: If you're a lover of risotto like I am, be forewarned that servings for one are near impossible to find throughout the whole of Venice - meaning, unless you're dining with another who enjoys risotto as much as you do, you may have no choice but to try another item on the menu.

I came in here t-shirt and form the beggining I was treated like an stinky egg. First waiter pased us to another, and than this another one pased us to some student-waiter. They all were very unpleasent. Well, but we came here for delicious (very expensive) food, right? Where can you get better food that im restaurant... Well... The dish we orderer was one of the worst things I've ever eatten in my life. Any bar next to the highway ensures better food quality than this one. I strongly don't recommend. Better spend this money in restaurant with a nice staff and tasty food.

Fantastic meal here! Was recommended by guide books and a friend. Was initially put off by the number of other English people (felt a bit touristy) but the spot was lovely and the food phenomenal. Was the best octopus I’ve ever had, so unbelievably tender, not to miss! Fantastic wine choices too. Don’t hesitate, worth the money.
