The most authentic place to drink and eat in Venice!! We had the best Cicchetti (Venetian Appetizer) and freshest fish!! And the local wine - just so good !! We surely will come back.
It was a one woman show when my wife and I went. Felt as though she was the bartender, waitress, heck even the cook! Solid food and wine selection. Can be pricey but due to the great service it gets a 5 star rating for me!
We stumbled upon this gem of a resteraunt whilst getting lost amungst the venzian street on a beautiful warm day.The place was busy and the food from afar looked inviting. We read some reviews and thought this would be a great place to stop for lunch. The host walked us in to a cute little table down the back of the restaurant. The lunch specials looked to be a great way to sample some traditional style dishes with a glass of local wine. The timing of the food was quick and every dish that we ordered was fantastic. By the end of the meal we were content, full and refreshed for exploring the rest of the city. We did however order an espresso to top up the energy levels and it was great. There wasn't anything I could fault in this establishment and would happily recommend it. The prices are higher than usual in Venice but it is to be expected for the area. Enjoy if you get a chance as we certainly did!
Excellent fresh seafood conveniently located within a stones throw of Rialto Bridge. It is small and had a family owned atmosphere that the restaurants directly on the canal lack. They had a set menu which was excellent value (unfortunately I can't have shellfish at the moment so ruled it out)- otherwise it was pretty expensive. We spent 110 for two starters, two mains and 3 alcoholic drinks. The service was friendly and relaxed.
