Chicken Bun - just came out of the steam bath and it was warm and soft! Red Bean Bun, Red Bean Donut, Sesame Red Bean with Ricecake. I really liked these pastries!! Not overly sweet but fresh super affordable price and lots of lots of red bean inside! So good ️

Probably the most famous bakery in Chinatown? You can't miss the giant buns on the roof. I've tried the baked goods and lunch goods. Everything I've tried has been tasty including soups, egg tarts, coconut buns and other things I can't remember. If you are trying to buy baked goods during COVID, they have a good system and someone directing you where to go. For safety, most people didn't see to be moving around to point at things, so have a good idea of what you want before you go.

Amazing food and amazing baked goods! Well worth the trip downtown. We went just before closing so there wasn't as much variety but we still walked away with a decent selection of buns and pastries. Everything was excellent. The buns were soft and chewy, with incredible different kinds of fillings. The pastries were flaky and melted perfectly in your mouth. Highly suggest giving them a try if you're in the area!

Listen, I am not going to say that I have joined a cult that worships their steamed buns. But, if anyone was interested in learning more about the divinity of New Town steamed buns, you know where to find me. Best Chinese baked goods in the city, no competition.

There's more Cantonese culture in New Town than most people know! It's a bakery / Hong Kong cafe combo. If you can get past all the buns in the front there is a dine in restaurant in the back with a very comfortably priced menu. If you're in Chinatown, consider the preserved veg and pork in soup noodles. It comes with a milk tea!
