We loved this Cafe! Visiting the town for the first time this was the first place we walked past and we’re so pleased we stumbled onto it. They had pottery painting, book swaps and where SO welcoming with my doggo! The woman who runs it is absolutely lovely and our ploughman’s was spot on. Just wish we where in town for longer so we could go back for more yummy yummy scones!

SCONES! SCONES! SCONES! Great welcome, friendly service. Did I mention they do scones? Lots of varieties of sweet and savoury scones. Home of the Scone breakfast. A definite visit for the Sconesseur. PS. They do scones too!
We only had time for a coffee but thought Valerie's was lovely. The staff were welcoming, there was plenty of choice on the menu, and the coffee was great. We will make a point of returning before too long.

The owner must have a scone fetish because nearly all the meals involve a scone. Sweet, savoury and a mix of both. Weird, but weirdly nice!
