I made a reservation for an apartment in Port de Sagunt last year and payed 3000 euros to Realmark. I live in the US and don't know all the laws about buying properties in Spain. The apartment I bought is a protected development and I didn't realize when I signed the reservation that there are a lot of rules. The main issue is you have to live the entire year in the apartment and it supposed to be your main residence. I explained Realmark, that I can only be in Spain three months in the year. There are other rules, like not being able to sell the apartment for twenty years that I did not know about. They never sent me a documentation explaining all the rules for a protected property. I didn't sign the contract and asked Realmark to cancel the reservation and refund my money back. They only refunded me 1500 euros. I asked for the entire money to be refunded but they refused. I feel I was taken advantage of, because I don't speak Spanish and don't know the rules about buying a property in Spain. If you're buying through them from another country be carful.

Mabel is a very warm, caring and a trust worthy person who makes a huge effort to ensure you understand what is happening and what you are buying, even with the language barrier. Further to the above you are still a valued customer with Realmark well after the purchase is complete. To this day Mabel, from the Nazaret office, is still providing me various information and help with looking after my apartment. 2 years later and I still have no hesitation in recommending Mabel and the Realmark team for a property purchase in Valencia.
