In English: Perspectief Herstelbemiddeling organizes victim offender mediations (VOM) and courses for perpetrators and professionals that work with them. Victim offender mediation is a contact between victim and perpetrator, that gives them the opportunity to look at the crime in a different perspective. By getting to know the consequences and motives of a crime, and the possibility to ask questions and give answers, the victim and perpetrator may relate differently to each other. This can help them dealing (better) with the consequences of the crime. The organized courses aime to increase the empathy and responsibility of perpetrators and to give professionals the tools to talk with them about guilt and victims and to stimulate them in taking responsibility.
