Came here for a private dinner. We were given individual appetisers and tapas for sharing. The appetiser was quite pleasant, with a little bit of everything to start. The main course consisted of potatoes, meat skewers, cola chicken, creamed mushroom and some other dishes which I can’t remember. Overall the main course was really greasy. All the dishes had a good amount of oil which ended up coating the palette - making it hard to really taste or enjoy anything. It all just began to taste the same at some point despite the variety. Dessert was OK, I forgot to take a picture but there were these almond cigars which had rose water. I know rose water is a polarising flavour but if used in the correct amount can be pleasant. Unfortunately, this time around it was more like soap. I think the dishes could have been executed better. The sangria served was also mostly sugar, not sure if it was not good due to the large party- maybe it would be better on normal nights. Service was okay, waiters weren’t particularly welcoming either. Again, maybe this wouldn’t be the case on normal nights. However, some weeks ago on a Friday night I was looking for a spot for 3 people for drinks and despite being empty inside they said they were full and that we would only be able to sit inside if we were to have dinner. It was past 9 pm at that time, so it seemed pretty silly to me to lose business like that. Anyways, based on these two encounters - I don’t think I will return.

Wonderful place at the river bend. Nice atmosphere and beautiful people. Friendly staff and nice assortment of great food.
Very bad reception by the waiter. After 45 minutes waiting still not served. We were happy to have something to eat on the canal of Utrecht but I surely not recommend this restaurant !

De bediening was leuk, eten was oké maar de prijs een beetje uit verhouding. Verder wel een leuke sfeer.
Heerlijk gegeten aan bij Lust109 aan de Oude Gracht. Lekker aan het water gezeten met heerlijke tapas. Leuk en spontane bediening. Een bezoekje of meerdere waard.
