Probably the best bakery in Utrecht. What’s great - bread is top class - you can buy half loaf - coffee - the food is very good - recommended for breakfast and lunch - great seating What could improve - it is so busy, you may be waiting for a while to get served - service is really good or not so good depending on who you get - it is family friendly. This is good. But bad as some annoying kids running around. Or should I say annoying parents.
We had our breakfast at the Bakkerswinkel in Utrecht. We were looking for a place that could make us an omelette and we struggled to find a location. All the breakfast location sold yoghurt with granola but we wanted something with more body. The Bakkerswinkel also serves a healthy breakfast but lucky for us, also could fry up some eggs with bacon. Yummy! This lovely bakery has a friendly staff and cells mouth watering goods. We are ArnhemLife. We provide tourist information on our website about Arnhem. Arnhem is only 20 minutes by train form Utrecht and definitely worth a visit while in the Netherlands. We also provide a bike rental service and offer various guided city tours in Arnhem.
Very quaint bakery with a take away counter and small (3 table) seating area upstairs. The downstairs restaurant does not open as early as the tables upstairs, but the full menu is available. Wonderful dishes, including quiche, french toast, and eggs on sourdough, were very enjoyable. Juices were even a step above usual as well. Highly recommend for any meal. The high tea menu looked impressive as well.
