Possibly the coolest place in town, unique and fun atmosphere. Eduardo, the owner and the chef, goes above and beyond to make sure you are having a good time. PLUS there are friendly cats that will require your petting XD
This was our first meal in Urubamba and its probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had!! The owner and chef, Eduardo, mixes Peruvian, Indian and Southeast Asian cuisines in a very unique way. He also uses local ingredients and plants to give things a local flavor. We really loved the atmosphere, the music and the food.
Lots of great character in the delicious food and throughout the restaurant itself. Has become a must-visit restaurant anytime I'm in Urubamba.
The chef was super nice and walked us through the menu one by one. After being in Peru for a long time, having asian influenced food is a warm welcome and clearly this guy knows his stuff. For Peru standards, definitely one of the best menus! 10/10 would recommend if you're in Urubamba.
Highly recommend visiting Kampu if you're in Urubamba. Not only is the food phenomenal, Eduardo the owner and chef is a warm host and very passionate about Asian Peruvian food. He personally explained each item on his selection menu. We ordered the shrimp civeche, Kampu saltado, and peanut & tomato curry with chicken. Everything was full of flavor, and the price is unbeatable for the portion. You can ask for your level of spiciness, lots of options for vegetarian and vegan, Eduardo makes it happen for you, just ask. This was such a great last dinner for us in Urubamba, we feel well-fed and attended to, what a heart-warming experience ️
