There wasn't much to see but the lady who was responsible could answer to all my questions. The notes for explanations were not enough and it would be better if they put a number for each object and explain about it. The objects were departed like, jeweleries, pots... . But some objects needed to be specified. The dates weren't on numbers and international Christian date. They were written by names of era's, like the sasani period which couldn't make sense for a foreigner.

A small but beautiful and nice museum, you can visit this place in 1-2 hours. There are as many as 30000 historical objects in this museum. There are three wonderful inscriptions for display. These inscriptions date back to the first millennium BC and are in Urartu Language. There are some other objects as old as 9000 years. It has an anthropology section, which exhibits old costumes of local people and their rituals.
You can find some traditional clothes and ancient tools about the history of the region there.
Great museum !!! It has artefacts since neolithic .. full of mysterious objects dating from around 6000 7000 Bc .. .. It s a must if you re in Urmia !!
