The hand rolls are so good with the warm rice and the nori! We had to wait in line for around 20 min that day and the managers were yelling to go forward as if we were at a club. Love the food and ambiance but the price was kind of higher than I wanted to be with the automatic tip with not so much talking with the staff.

Really great spot with legit sushi chefs. Saw a lot of Japanese customers there which was a good sign. Both sushi and cooked foods looked excellent. Can't wait to go back and try the omakase!

It is really good — but not 5 stars. The price is reasonable. Pretty authentic to Japan, along with strange service to gaijins. Meaning, they attempted the notorious ‘no service’ or ‘members only’ vibe that is commonplace in Japan when foreigners are refused service based on not being Japanese. There were 3 empty seats at the sushi bar which I was told were taken, but they were still there as I finished my meal. They attempted to seat me in back at the isolated and empty cocktail bar, but I insisted on one of the empty tables in the main dining area. Overall, good food and 4 stars. Service was 1 star. Probably won’t go back as there are many other great sushi options in NY who treat gaijins better.
