When i first walked into Unsworths Funeral Directors I had never had to organize a funeral before and had no idea what to expect. I was met by Heidi who immediately put me at ease. During my first visit the funeral arrangements were completed to our exact wishes including the flowers, service etc. The night before the funeral Jane called at our home just to make sure everything was okay. The Funeral itself was just as my mother would have wanted it to be. Even though the Winter months are often the saddest for many people, nothing was too much trouble even when we changed the music at the last minute.

Thanks to all the staff especially Jane at Unsworths who organised the funeral of our Father . Everything went according to plan and was done with great sensitivity . Thank you all

This is not unsworths. Unsworths sold out to DIGNITY FUNERAL DIRECTORS, but they also sold their compassion. The service absolutely disgusting, they misled and lied to us, and the cost was extortionate. This is abuse of a family at it's most vulnerable. So much so we have had to move our mother to another company. Disgusting... Avoid at all cost.

Very poor service for the funeral of my Grandad. We were given assurance from Unsworth's that we would recieve a premium service, time was of the essance as my grandad died 4th Jan and we couldn't get an appointment to register his death until 11th jan. We were informed that once the green form was handed to the funeral home, on registering his death, his body would be collected from the hospital mortuary and prepared for viewing. His body was collected the following day, and not ready for viewing until 18th Jan, with no apology for the delay or explanation. As part of the service we were told we would have a home visit to go through the day. Not the case, the day before the funeral my Mum had a phone call from Jo about the songs for the crematorium. My Mum explained they were waiting for the home visit, to which Jo replied \we are very busy you know\. Jane Unsworth then called back to go through the order of the day. On the day of the funeral the coffin had silver handles, through brass had specifically been requested and ordered. I would not recommend Unsworths at all.
