The Grade II listed structure on the High Street is fairly easy to miss, unless you know its there. The frontage proclaims it was founded on the present in 1662, though it was rebuilt in 1715 following its destruction by a Jacobite mob during a riot in the same year. The current Italianate structure actually dates from 1840. Interestingly, this was the church Charles Darwin worshipped at until his mother's death in 1817.

Amazing so friendly / restored my faith in human nature I want to join
Shrewsbury is the birthplace of Charles Darwin whose family attended this church. I was there to lead the worship, and everyone who commented said they appreciated what I offered - that it prompted them into their own thinking, brought particular memories to mind, they agreed (or disagreed) with some idea suggested, or laughed at the bits of humour. Here's a pic of me at the lectern.
