Our food was served promptly and the wait staff was very attentive. We had a large group and all our dinners arrived at the same time.Our waiter's name was Gabriel and he did an outstanding job! We were never rushed and enjoyed the ambiance. Our son was also with us and as we were leaving the bartender gave him a Japanese orange soda. He was thrilled! We will definitely return.

Nice place for reasonable prices Sushi. Ate there on a Sunday night, not busy, had the California roll and a pineapple and tuna specialty roll. Service was good, had sports on TV.
I just moved to Springfield in August and was missing my favorite sushi restaurants. Umi has definitely stepped up to the plate with their food. This is my favorite sushi place in Springfield. The service is amazing too.
This is usually my go-to sushi restaurant - I mean we go every few weeks when able. For the first time, we did a carry out order. The service was great, and I was satisfied with taste of the food. What I was extremely dissatisfied with is that we got less than HALF the amount of sushi we normally get when dining in. This is unacceptable in my opinion. I’m having to pay the same amount I pay to dine in but getting half of the amount of food? We got 3 rolls, 3 EXPENSIVE rolls, and got 6-8 pieces each, when typically we get 10-12 pieces. Maybe some sort of disclaimer when you’re ordering carry out would make sense? We had to share 3 small rolls between 3 people and spent over 40. Not to mention I thought the salad I was paying 4 for would be more than just a side salad. I’m disappointed, this won’t deter me from going again. But, I hope that they understand how frustrating this was for my family. Especially since we drove 30 minutes both ways when there was options much closer to us.
The sushi is always delicious. The nigiri are always big slices of fish at the same price as anywhere else that skimps on the fish. Great rolls and drinks too. Always friendly.
