I seriously recommend this place for lunch. Service was efficient. Sometimes it feels like a lot of places on Newbury can't handle a lunch rush, but they did perfectly, and they are very covid safe if you dine in.

Umai was just okay. The fish-to-rice ratio was pretty good, but I've gotten better flavor and general quality for the same prices or cheaper from other restaurants. This place is fine if you're not close enough to anywhere else and just really need your sushi fix. (I got spicy salmon and hamachi maki rolls)
Ordered food online and waited 30 minutes from the indicated time that it was supposed to be ready. After five minutes from the indicated time, I asked for them to check on the order. And I kept asking a total of 5 times. The last time I asked, it was clear that they just lost the order and were lying to me about checking the order. After I asked for my money back, they gave me a soda. The employees were just a little incompetent. It's a shame because the place looked so cute and they seemed nice.
The udon was amazing, and it's comforting to know they take Covid so seriously that a bottle of hand sanitizer is handed to each table along with the menu.
This restaurant stands out. It is clean, friendly service, and a lot of food to select with a great price. This is a great place! Continue your great service and more customers to come.
