Found this place whilst away in Skipsea a few miles down the road. Weather was shocking and went off in search of a full English. This is a lovely barn conversion and everything is home cooked and home made. Quality ingredients and even make their own bread for the toast! The coffee was great and I couldn’t help a slice of cake and a second cup! Left feeling satisfied and went back the next day! Spot on.

This was our third visit to the granary and our second for breakfast in the last week. On a positive note the breakfasts and coffee were excellent and good quality products. The service was polite and friendly. However, the speed of service, especially on our latest visit was deplorable and the reason for the two star rating. Our party of four adults, a ten year old and a baby arrived at about 10:15am. Drinks were ordered and our food order was taken by 10:25. Two large breakfasts, a medium breakfast, poached eggs with cream cheese and avocado, and a scone. Drinks arrived promptly, but after contacting the waitress the food arrived one hour later at 11:30am! What was particularly annoying was that people that arrived after us had been served before us, and a couple that arrived thirty minutes after us and ordered breakfasts had theirs delivered two minutes after us. There was an apology from the waitress for the wait, but although we were asked if we wanted more drinks, these were not offered as complimentary to support the apology for the delay. Hence we had no drinks with our breakfast, as these had arrive and been drunk an hour earlier! The Granary was not particularly busy at the time of our visit, there appeared to be plenty of staff, so suspect this is an organisational issue that needs to be rectified quickly. From previous reviews doesn't look that this is the first time this has happened. We will more than likely visit again, but if our next experience is not a big improvement on yesterday, it will be our last.

Very attentive staff, well spaced tables and felt very safe during our visit. Simple menu which was fantastic for all three courses and very well priced. Small resultant where you are able to see into the kitchen, excellent wine and great location. Will definitely be back next time we are on the East coast.

Food was ok but had better. The setting of the place is nice, staff friendly but could have been more attentive, service was slow.

Five of us went yesterday, one being a 6 year old, and were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food. We could see over the fence small goats and a pig in a field which delighted the 6 year old! Two of us who live not far away have been before and can see the work that has been done and we will definitely be going back. If it hadn't been for 'the virus' restrictions we would have been back before now. It's a lovely haven of peacefulness in the countryside.
