Had a wonderful Omakase meal with my husband last night while we were in Austin for the day. Food and drinks were amazing. The flavors of every dish were very bold and deliberate. We were excited about each dish that came out. We left full but not stuffed. We cannot wait to come back!

Lives up to the hype. Food, service, and ambiance is superb. Something so “abnormal” happened that I didn’t think twice about and then they surprised us with a give that was above & beyond what could have ever been expected.

Wasn't really what I was expecting from the hype. Food was good, but definitely way more fusion than authentic Japanese food. I ordered omakase, which was reasonably priced (for Austin anyway), but not particularly creative on the night I went. Ambiance was honestly pretty poor. Very noisy, seating felt crowded, found it difficult to have a conversation without shouting (this was before covid). Service was decent, but nothing exceptional. Overall, I wouldn't say I will be coming back and I'll have to disagree with the legions who claim this is the best sushi spot in Austin.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here. The food is absolutely delicious. We tried both regular and vegetarian dishes; they were equally great. Nolan was our server; he was polite, knew the menu very well, and suggested some great options given the extensive menu. The service overall from everyone was on point. Dessert was solid. One suggestion for a restaurant of this caliber is to enforce a dress code strictly. We saw a couple in shorts and sweatshirts which takes away from the overall ambience.
