Nice pub. No loud music always decent beer. Very comfortable.

The lodge is our local and like a lot of people, we come here for the Bass! I don't know how they condition it so well, but it's always really good. They also sell tasty Nicholsons pies if you get peckish, and there's a little beer garden hidden round the back for the summer.

Nice lil old pub. Visited during Covid-19 for a quick pint and use the loo and the staff were friendly, hand sanitiser out and they were actively cleaning. Wasn't too busy and they have a lovely beer garden. Only complaint was the flush on the loo wasn't great and it meant someone who used the toilet before me hadn't really bothered and there was water (? I hope) on the loo seat.

Smashing old school pub up from Fish Quay and inbertween North Shields and Tynemouth. Throw back and open your paper take your time and relax there's no rush. Canny pint canny people canny cheap.
