The restaurant is clean and orderly. My waiters have been attentive and kind. The honey dusted dark meat chicken was fine, and the baked macaroni and cheese was alright. My old school breakfast bowl was filling and tasty. This was my first time eating such a dish in a while, and I enjoyed it. I ordered a dessert flight my first time. The banana pudding and pecan pie taste good. I am considering returning for a stack of pecan sweet potato pancakes.

No complaints about the food. The biscuits, shrimp and grits, and fried chicken sandwich were all great. Drink selection was nice. The old fashion was made well. Our overall service wasn't bad even though it was rushed. So why the bad review? Two points. As we were being seated we were told that they were giving us a 1.5 hour limit on our meal time. The hostess said that they are asking guests to leave after an hour and a half. Then she sat us at the smallest table available. The kind that is great for a small coffee shop, but terrible to eat full meals at. So even though they rushed us through we didn't have time for dessert. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else. Too bad, cause I wanted to like it.

Beautiful restaurant specializing in southern comfort food. Located in the Ford Center at the Star complex; the restaurant is large and comfortable. We started with the fried pickles, but I hear the fried green tomatoes and biscuits and honey are also worth a try. I also had the the cast iron pork with two sides of the brussel sprouts and mac n' cheese. The pork was topped with sweet pickled red onions and served in the hot skillet. Yum. The brussel sprouts were seasoned with salt and pepper and charred perfectly. As for the mac n' cheese, the crispy topping added a great crunch to the creamy cheese. Well worth the visit.

My friend had dined here numerous times before. Tonight was my first time, and WoW, what a great first impression. Everything, even down to the wait time(like two minutes)to get in. Our waitress was Rachel, and she was amazing. She was very knowledgeable with the menu, and answered questions we had, with no problem. Funny, and quick, with great customer service. The food was top notch and definitely will be back soon. I’d love to have employees like this working for me. Please be sure she knows how good she does, and keep up the great work.

The service was okay I say that because when you walk in you’re not greeted and we had a reservation but it still took a little bit of time for us to be seated. Now our service when it comes to the waiter we had was good! He was nice and was able to recommend a few items. We opted for the fried okra and potatoes cracklins as an appetizer & they bother were pretty food. For the entree I had the sweet and spicy chicken, Yukon mashed potatoes & mac cheese and I tried the goat cheese grits. My daughter had Classic pancakes (sweet potato flavor only option is think) eggs and bacon. We sent the pancakes back because they were way to sweet and she ended up getting French toast which was really good. My overall rating for the food is 8. I actually look forward to going back & trying other options on the menu! Oh the Mimosa was really good as well!
