Had a lovely lunch in a pretty and friendly tea room. The All day breakfast advertised on the chalkboard made me think I was going into a glorified greasy spoon but I was so wrong! Tudor Rose is a relaxed and comfortable tea room and the lady serving was so hospitable and welcoming. A basic range of lunch options but a beautiful selection of homemade cakes. I admired another customer's cream tea with envy! Would highly recommend this place for a chilled catch up with friends.

The food was tasty enough but the portion of soup was tiny, one ladle in a bowl about five times too big for it. We usually don't complain but it was so little we asked for them to add some more, took about 10 minutes and when they returned it was the same amount. I expect a country tea room to be generous with their portions. I got the club sandwich which was mostly fine, the bacon was a bit fatty. It didn't come with any sides like a bit of salad or crisps which for the price I assumed it would. Overall a disappointing experience, if you're in the village try somewhere else.
Myself my daughter and friend went for a birthday lunch today. Was a terrible experience and will not be going there again. There was no socially distance measures in place. My food was awful I had a baked potato and they couldn’t get it right after the second attempt. It was very hard and cold. I never complain but today i had to. My friend ordered a pot of tea and her milk was off as it had curdle in the bottom of the milk jug. When we approach the member of staff she didn’t offer more she just said that was strange. We then had scones for pudding my scone was plain and my friends was fruit hers crumbles in her hand which made it very difficult to put the cream and jam on. My scone was so hard I stuck the knife in to try and cut and I could not pull the knife out. We asks for another. A girl in the kitchen came out to tell us she had over cooked the scones and they were all rock hard. (This is a tea room were lots of people want scones) I had a fruit scone offered to me and that was fine. I felt the staff are to young to be running this tearoom as she had no idea how to present the food and how to cook clearly. We had no discount taken off for the poor service of food we had. The staff need a mature member of staff to cater for people’s needs and descent food to be cooked. My friend said she restaurant had 5 * I don’t know how this is possible after our experience today. I will not be going back here the food was over priced and poorly cooked. We should of been given our food from nothing. I have come home and been sick this afternoon not a good birthday treat.
This tea room has been refurbished and is fresh and clean. Very nice food and lovely staff. If you visit Westerham give them a try. Highly recommend!
The best Bakewell! Keep coming back for more. Fantastic location in the pretty town of Westerham. Friendly staff, always a lovely selection of cakes and good food too. Tea and Coffee served on lovery crockery. I belive that they stop serving food at about half past 3 in the afternoon so make sure to be there before they begin to wind down. Parking can be tricky but well worth it!
