Truth BBQ was very good but not exceptional. The brisket was moist and tender, had more fat in layer than I like, sausage was good. The sides, creamed spinach and tater-tot casserole were tasty. My big issue was nothing was hot! How hard is it to have hot food? Servers were very pleasant and welcoming.

Awesome barbecue, definitely worth a visit. Their sausage is especially excellent. Make sure you get their early or close to when they open, because a line typically forms before they open their doors and when they run out of meat for the day that’s it.
Best BBQ in Houston and one of the best in the state. This was the best experience as the line wasn't long today, so no wait but the que was still AWESOME....if for some odd reason you don't want the meat their sides are just as great, make sure to try them all. Didn't get desserts this time (I'm sad I didn't) but those are worth the visit as well.
This BBQ joint is located in the great area of the Heights and its exterior decor is very eye catching, bringing simplicity and rustic elements to make the ambience \urban/rural\ The Truth's staff was very polite, helpful and outgoing making the whole experience great from the beginning. The selection of food is great, I personally had the 3 meat 2 sides combo. Brisket, Spicy Sausage and Ribs (sides: mac & cheese, beans) The meats where cooked to perfection making every bite a delight. The seasoning was right on the spot. Every dish was fresh and with excellent temperature. If you want a great BBQ experience this is the place to go for.
Truth, is the Truth. Just as good as the one in Brenham. Got the 2 meat plate. Ribs were amazing, but only 2 with big bones on them. They fell off the bones and had good smoke and pepper. Lean brisket was cut really thick. Had good smoke ring and good bark. Wish I would have gotten more than one scoop of tater tot casserole. That’s scoop they gave was a little ice cream scoop worth. Mac and cheese was good and creamy. Overall I was very satisfied. Just wish the sides portion was little more.
