Sometimes your photos just don't do a meal justice. Please forgive me for my sub par shots. But I just cannot share about my experience at Triple J's Smokehouse. Just a straight forward great meal. Sweet pork and beans that rivals my wife's. (Don't tell her) The potato salad had great texture and the mustard base took me back to my childhood and family get-togethers. Moist outside brisket with a great bark and flavor. Ribs perfect amount of smoke and pull off the bone. I definitely have to come back and try that Boudin. Steady line of customers in and out with big ole smiles.

I've been coming to this place since I was a kid. Its the best bbq in houston and black owned. My only issue is its a little space that's always packed soooo you might catch covid. They have the 6 foot stickers on the floor but there's not enough space to actually social distance.
Excellent food but two of the employees were not masked up and that made me feel uncomfortable/unsafe today. Plus they need to do a better job of allowing less people in the building. They do have the social distancing stickers on the floor but they were not using them. There were more people inside in line waiting to place an order than should have been. It's safer to keep a shorter line inside and a longer line outside. Overall, the food was great and the service was nice but they just need to do a better job being safer in the midst of the pandemic. Would definitely go back AFTER the pandemic.
Outstanding. Doesn't even make sense. It's the beans for ME. Get extra, trust me. This was our first visit and we will be returning. Worth the 47 min drive. We tried the ribs, chicken, and brisket, and baked potatoes. Everything was delicious
Next time I'll get the BBQ sauce on the brisket so it can soak it in on the way home. Ribs and Sausage.. 5 STARS! Please do not let the line deter you. I tried the Voodoo drink and it was delicious and sweet.. If you do not eat white bread, please state that because I feel wasteful as my bread became soggy..
