Our first time here and it was delicious!!! Loved everything we had. The meatballs and the crab cakes were amazing!!! My husband had the linguine and clams sauce and I had the flat iron steak fritas. Everything was perfect! But the truffle fries were to die for!!! I would drive the hour from where I live just for the truffle fries!!!

The reason for 4 0f 5 is because I only had drinks and apps. Great customer service. I ordered a cocktail thinking it was a Manhattan type drink. It did not arrive as I thought. They had no problem making me a new cocktail and was not charged for the misunderstanding. The shrimp was fresh. The Place was very clean and wiped down after every patron. Nice outdoor patio and plenty of space between us and the next customer. I definitely will return for another cocktail. Thank you Trio

Not bad. I conduct reviews similar to restaurant critics so this is not a negative review. This summer my companion and I return to Rhode Island for the laid back, New England esprit de corps, the beautiful beaches, and the fresh local seafood. We started with the clam chowder. It did not disappoint. Rich, creamy base with ample potatoes and local clam meat. We followed with the scallops which were sauteed to perfection, moist inside with a buttery crust where they were seared. The sauce was a sweet and savory puree which paired wonderfully with the scallops. The accompanying vegetable was caramelized Brussels sprouts, some of which were undercooked, some overcooked, and some perfect. Our other main dish was the grilled cod with chives risotto served with a crab beurre blanc and supposedly arugula. We saw no arugula, the risotto was slightly undercooked, and the cod was slightly overcooked. The beurre blanc was tasty but the dish was underwhelming overall. Desert was chocolate ganache cake with a most wonderful raspberry coulis which, on its own, added a star to the review. It really was THAT GOOD! The wait staff were friendly and attentive adding another star to the rating. They were really top notch. Overall it wasn't bad at all. Perhaps the holiday weekend crush caused the chef to blunder the risotto and sprouts. I would be willing to give Trio another chance on less busy evening.

The manager was wonderful and very helpful to a person in group that has allergy and food intolerances. The fig pizza was delicious.
