Curtis and the team are magicians. Started going her in March 20 in the first lockdown and it's been a must nearly every week since then. They are creative with their bakes and they always have something new to enjoy. From epic sandwiches made to order to their patisserie, its all excellent!

This was my first visit today! The vast choice of food and sweet treats are amazing. The young lady who served me was really helpful, I didn’t know what to choose! So I came away with a selection of sausage rolls, a loaf of bread, brownies and a muffin! The ham sandwich is amazing and filling too. My little ones will enjoy their sausage rolls and brownies after school. Well worth a visit. Thank you to Trentham Bakehouse

Food is usually excellent tasting and staff are friendly (most of the time). However, I've noticed that they don't list a menu anywhere or price in-store items as their prices fluctuate on a day-to-day, and customer-orientated, basis; a customer can get the same products for 6 one day and 11 the next. You wouldn't know this unless you visit a few times and buy the exact same things, but they're clever about it and switch their daily offering so that they're not selling the same things. This really irks me as I when I mention this place by means of recommendation that person gets charged differently and that can really sour someone's mood if they expected to pay 2 for sausage roll or 4 for a cake, for example, but they're charged 3.50 on the day of their visit for the sausage roll and 7 for the same cake. Now multiply that 75% price hike across every item purchased and it soon adds up. The owner justifies the price difference due to \variable factors\. One would think maybe the ingredients are different as they couldn't get the brand they usually buy, or their stock level is low, but it definitely allows discrimination as a factor too and that's something to definitely watch out for. As for the food, it's all hand-made and varies in size, shape and amount of toppings. I.e. You can have a perfect looking cake one day and with your next order of the same cake it might have half the toppings, more toppings, be smaller in size or larger! There's no real consistency, other than the taste -- which is definitely key and the reason why people love them, but it is surprising. P.s. Don't visit late in the day, especially anywhere near closing time, as they run out of their stock FAST. P.p.s. Dirty fingernails in the product marketing on social media. Update: Added a picture of the current Afternoon Tea menu. Prices are correct, February 2021. They do not have a daily bake menu, or prices listed, as they aren't static (please read my review).

Great bakery - with really helpful, friendly staff. The sandwiches are really tasty - especially the New York Deli, and the portions are massive! Always a great selection of different cakes and bakes. Have been going here for a while now and it has always been amazing, and always well worth the wait.
