What a journey to get there. Lake vs mountain and in between La Strada. Go early, avoid visiting on sunny days, go slow down and fast up. Motorcycles have priority both ways. The views are sooooooo amazing. So so so spectacular each curve, each turn. Must drive up and down to enjoy the road at its best.
Scenic views. Green landscape with waterfalls. Lake view is incredible. Note: there was a sign that the road is one way in day time and you could go back only after 7pm. Not sure if that was a one time sign or thats the usual rules. Anyway we found another way around.
Th way is exciting, in high season could be challenging, however winter time is perfect to enjoy almost alone and stop where you want. By the tunnel if you catch the only place to park, you can find a great walking way on the side even if it is not really allowed to go there, only on your risk (due to risky rock falling down). Highly recommended to visit!
Beautiful place! A unique road digged into the mountain. A must see for everybody in the neighborhood.
