The little village of Le Gouray in Brittany is a few kilometres from Collinee, France. We've stopped at this little village bistro several times and have never been disappointed. A warm welcome was received from the lady owner, Valerie and her husband chef, Jean Marc. It is very popular for lunch with local workers who enjoy a three course menu including wine, cider and bottled water. The starter is served from a self service chilled food trolley filled with avocados, salads, cold pasta mixed with ham, fresh prawns, pates, tomatoes, beetroots, cucumbers, ham, etc. The choice of main course was a pork chop or steak. The pork is sourced from a family farm and had such a delicious taste, well seasoned and tender. I had the steak,tender and rare, no gristle or nerve which you sometimes get at a much more expensive restaurant steak. Both dishes served with french fries or courgettes and salad. We had a carafe of red wine which was included, ending our lunch with a tarte tartin and ice-cream and coffee. (A choice of 3 desserts offered) This restaurant is obviously very well supported by the locals and although there are no white tablecloths, it is an honest, simple, clean and friendly restaurant, the food is freshly cooked and the menus change each day. It's good to support the small villages and I recommend it.

Super rapport qualité-prix. Service rapide et fort sympathique, c'est bon, varié et efficace. Juste ce qu'il faut quand on travaille dans les environs.

Accueil sympa et familial. Une bonne cuisine, goûteuse et au final un repas très copieux et très bon pour un prix tout à fait correct. Je conseille sans aucun doute
