Even without a launch, the view is spectacular. The best way to access this spot is via Fishers Track, but the road is still quite steep. I walked up the Mt Elliot Ridge Track, which is extremely steep, but the reward of the view at end was worth it. The track can be followed all the way over to Thowgla. If you time it right you can watch the paragliders and hang gliders launch off the mountainside.
Best free-flying area in Australia. Elliot is an afternoon launch, good thermals through the valleys. Booming climbs and views over Mt Mittamatite and Pine Mountain. Plenty of eagles around, mostly friendly. Checkout the VHPA site for more details.

A fantastic paragliding launch site. Great flatland flying and a wonderful town to enjoy. Beautiful scenery too
Had a mate take me up there just for the view recommend if you're in the area and got a 4 wheel drive go have a look
