Fantastic place - nice to experience and get to know some culture. Built in the early 13th century it was renovated a short time ago and is in great condition.

Walked past the Castle today and the poppy flowing from the second floor window where fantastic the work and effort that when into the hand crafted poppy is amazing

Very interesting. The views from the top are worth the climb up the steps. Look out for the hidden mice figures...keeps the little ones busy.

A local point of historical interest as well as local attraction with guided tours and a variety of interesting talks shows and other activities. It is also easily recognised and serves a meeting place when in a group and exploring the rest of the town . I would Highly recommend a visit if looking for an adventure into historical STRANRAER
