Towers of Rochdale Ltd

Great.. traditional type shop.. Friendly, helpful and informative guy. I visited in order to get lead shot and this was one of the few places open during 'lockdown'..

Quite useless. Despite several emails confirming that I was going to buy a specific gun advertised on ‘guntrader’, and despite several replies of Jeremy confirming it was still available (one as recently as yesterday) I drove 100 miles to be told “it must have been sold over Christmas by someone else”. The shop is an utter shambles with loads of worn out, corroded and poorly stored shotguns literally lying all over the place; it’s almost as if people take their expired guns to him as an easy way to get them off their ticket. I’m not surprised he had no idea what actual stock he has in there. The images of ‘Towers of Rochdale’ that he has in the Internet have no resemblance to the state of the building and it’s contents that you will find on your visit. He then tried to offer me a selection of guns that were, quite frankly, in a shocking condition and would not have been given space on a rack by a reputable dealer. I have written this review in the vain hope that some good will come out of my wasted day if I prevent someone else making the same mistake of trusting this man’s word.

Rang before I visited to make sure the gun I wanted was still available, on arrival Jeremy took me into the shop and handed me the gun I had in mind, being my first. 22 rifle he spent time explaining everything, a very knowledgeable man and a very pleasant experience, thank you
