Tours Airport (TUF) is very small but extremely practicable to access the Loire Valley or Brittany region. Amenities are very basic, there is one restaurant (before security check) and a few vending machines. There is no coffee or restaurants after security or paper control. Due to its size, you can afford to arrive 1h before your flight take-off. Upon arrival, you will easily be out of the airport 15-20 minutes after landing. Car rentals (Europcar and Avis) are present on-site. Taxi services seem to be only upon request, so make sure to pre-book if you need one. No train connects the city centre to the airport. Don't expect great luxury. This is a small regional airport, but it's still much better than having to fly to Paris and drive or take the train for long hours.

Great provincial airport. Fast access to this gem of an area. Huge asset.

This is a small airport, it does not have any stores and has one bar /café in the main area. There are plenty of toilets located before and after security checks. It has minimal staff, therefore queues are likely at passport control and at check in. There are (expensive) vending machines by the departure gates. The planes are boarded via steps outdoors, there is no shelter when waiting to board. It does have a decent sized car park. There's a taxi rank by the exit and a tram stop a short walk away.

Good airport and staff. It's small but works ok. Took about 15 mins to get through passport control. Not bad for a full Ryanair flight. Coming back it was about a five minute check for security. People complain about baggage checks but if you abide by weight and dimensions rules you will have no problems. If you don't you will be charged.departures waiting area can be crowded so be prepared. Also hired a car here and had a good experience. They don't try and rip you off with excess charges etc. Pleasant helpful staff. Book in advance. Only europcar and Avis operate. They only open when flights land so when you return you park in space provided and leave the keys in a box. We had no problems.Overall would recommend

Wonderful staff saved the day by coordinating retrieval of a phone left in a rental car. They made it happen, and we're so grateful!
