What a lovely place! So lucky we stumbled upon it. Have lunch in a charming couple's front porch overlooking the beautiful river. Portions were small, and considering the menu consisted mostly of salad, it was surprising that the lettuce was not cut to a helpful size, but the cheeses and the amazing smoked magret du canard (tastiest thing I ever ate) made up for it. Dessert was okay. I mostly enjoyed the interesting characters who ran the place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch in this very homely cafe tucked away round the corner from albi’s almighty cathedral. It was warm and cosy on a cold day, with a real fire going. We were met very warmly by the owners, who were friendly and interesting to talk to. Parts of the house date back to the 14th century. It is beautiful, and very tastefully decorated.The menu consists mainly of cold cuts, charcuterie, good local cheese, pate, quiche etc. perfect for a light lunch. Then there was a good selection of teas and lovely cakes.
We wanted a quiet light lunch with a nice ambience and view and found it right here. Delicious quiche and salad followed by exquisite cafe gourmand made us more than satisfied. A real find on the far end of the cathedral run by a delightful, smart couple. Don't tell too many people!
Delightful experience
Au détour d'une ruelle entrez dans ce petit cocon douillet, tout en alcoves. A l'arrière vous trouverez une splendide petite terrasse, aménagé avec des plantes grâces et surplombant le Tarn. Portez votre regard sur les rives arborées et les vielles bâtisses en brique, et appréciez la fraîcheur des lieux. Le cheesecake fait maison est succulent, sa volupté et légèreté relevé par le goût des framboises. Nous reviendrons dès que nous passerons par Albi.
Très bel endroit avec une superbe vue sur le Tarn. Accueil souriant. On a juste pris un café gourmand et un café, la qualité était au rendez vous

Résumé d'un déjeuner parfait : cadre magnifique et calme au bord du Tarn, propriétaires adorables et souriants (malgré le masque !), ingrédients frais et savoureux, qualité au rendez-vous et desserts originaux ! Nous pensions acheter un sandwich rapide et nous n'avons pas regretté d'être passés devant ce charmant restaurant Merci encore pour ce moment
