Sorry I wasn't at the chippy as it was closed I was across the road doing my washing (annual event) in the laundry however I can say from past experience that they do do a nice portion of fish and chips and hopefully when life gets back to normal I'll be able to pop over for a chip barm whilst my socks etc are being washed

Fantastic chippy. Their chips taste just the way chips should. Proper texture---enough squidgy to crunch ratio. And the fat on the chipd also tastes great, not over used or underused. Perfect.
Have visited twice, the food was ok the first time.. We went again and stood for 4 -5 minutes whilst the owner just blanked us, never even said hello and chatted with the only other customer in the shop. So i walked out. Highfield has great service so go there now.
Starving, we called here a few weeks ago after playing golf near Kendal. Arrived just as they were closing but the 2 ladies opened up for us and cooked fish and chips fresh. The food was lovely and the 2 ladies very friendly. Would definitely recommend and will call back soon. Michael Liverpool
