- Perogies were very well done, could taste the house-made quality. Given the toppings and sour cream made for an even better meal. Unnoticed mushrooms in the sauerkraut/mushroom combo (a little heavier on the sauerkraut), cheese and potatoes are excellent! - Meat balls were above average and the brown sauce was decent, could have been heated more, but hard to consider if its due to the commute home. - side dishes are excellent, and lentil soup was thick and hearty, consider adding in some sour cream too!

Delicious, authentic Ukrainian food that tastes (almost) as good as my grandmothers used to make. HP is located in the basement of the church on Bathurst, just across from the hospital (there is an elevator but I'm not sure how to get there without using some stairs, so unsure if it's completely accessible). They are doing takeout now and I believe various delivery apps. Highly recommend the pierogies (three kinds, but my fave is always the classic cheese and potato) and the cabbage rolls. They have a vegan cabbage roll option! For the meat eaters (which I no longer am) back in the day the meat skewers were always the best - my parents got some and confirmed they were delicious. A full meal will only set you back about 10 depending on your options.
A great lunch option for a hearty meal at a great price! One of my favourite spots in the area, which says a lot being close to Kensington Market! The staff are so sweet and attentive. Happy to support this small business always :)
Food is good but they don't offer cottage cheese & potato perogies online so we wound up with frozen perogies. We had to spend additional time cooking them while everything else we ordered was ready; plus the perogies didn't come with any sour cream.
Heavenly Perogy lives up to its name!!! When I’m downtown I have to pick up some pork shoulder and meatballs, try it and you’ll fall in love too. The boiled perogies are delicious AND 10/10 service, what more could you ask for?
