Nothing but good things to say about John, Pat and the guys at Dowtown Gas & Auto. Purchased two vehicles from them and I was thoroughly impressed with the quality and value. John and Pat have a knack for finding rare gems and providing them for sale at very reasonable prices. The quality of their maintenance work is also top notch. A loyal customer I have become.
This is the ONLY place you should be bringing your car to. Fair, honest — absolute pros. My only regret was not coming here 15 years ago.
John And Pat are the best. I've lived in Lesleville for 30 years. I first was happy with Nash garage on Queen St - a family business that served me and my car well for years. Then they shut down. I tried a few other garages - and then found Downtown Gas and Auto - met Pat and John. Took my lovely new-to-me used Subaru in. That was decades ago. I now swear by them. There's something about a family business that reassures me - and i wasn't wrong. They are the best. Highly recommended.

These guys are fantastic and saved me! Pat is the "Subaru" guy. I have a 2005 Subaru Outback XT and the oil pan was rusted through and leaking badly so the car was undriveable. Even though they were booked solid, they went out of their way to help me so that I would not be stranded without a car 6 days before Christmas. They are knowledgeable, honest, compassionate, and provide great customer service. I highly recommend them and I will use them from now on, even though I live across the city.
